TAPS4all is in the final stages of completion of a maket survey in Sri Lanka for a European manufacturer of deepwell handpumps. The market survey looks at the use of handpumps and the desires and wishes of the users of handpumps in remote areas of the country. At the same time interviews are held with officials, in the field (Water Board and Pradesha Saba's or Village councils) and in Colombo.
Data has been collected from pump users in the field, importers, manufacturers, distributers and authories and is currently being analysed.
It is expected that the end report will be completed before the end of July 2010.
